Phone-box infant is reunited with her saviour
A mum who was abandoned as a baby inside a telephone box 44 years ago has been reunited for the very first time using the garda who saved her.
Helen Ward could not have been older than each day or two when a lorry driver found her at the bottom of a phone kiosk in Dundalk and rang gardai.
Sgt Michael Connolly (now 87) was the very first individual to lift baby Helen from the kiosk and take her to nearby Louth County Hospital.

Father-of-eight Sgt Connolly told presenter Joe Duffy that his investigation had not yielded any info about Helen's 1st days.
"I brought Helen up to the local county hospital ... We did make some enquiries alright, but the kid was left there, nobody came afterwards dr dre headphones, nobody said anything concerning the child," the pensioner said.
"They called you [Aileen Brenda] Marsh up in the hospital following the marshes, I believe [the phonebox was on Marsh Road]. "There was [an investigation but] there were no leads at all."
Helen was adopted by the Wards when she was 13 months old, and she grew up with their biological daughter Mary (45) in Dublin.
Helen said her parents, who're now in their 80s beats by dre studio, were extremely supportive of her search. "My mum was happy, she told me, 'You have every correct, it is something you have usually wanted to do'," Helen stated.

Music by Turner: Davy Jones was the real thing
Gee, somehow I always knew that the first Monkee to pass away would do so on leap year day.
Of course that is just typical English gallows humor and most likely the kind of dark, self-deprecating quip that Davy Jones would have enjoyed. It is those brutal England winters, y'know.
But I must confess that the response to the death of Jones from his fans on social media sites and also the international media truly caught me off guard and tackle. Boomers have lost an additional voice from their youth beats by dr dre, and also the silence is deafening.

I don't know why, but a lot of music people are not interested in people, so much as in places and things ...I think it's much more true of men than women: Not that it's an innate difference, just that women are encouraged early on to be interested in people while men are encouraged to acquire a facility with things, more directly. I have nothing much more to say about that, but it certainly is conspicuous in my life."
I ask if that shift also meant that his songs became much more about life rather than songs about songs, as he usually frames them. "I still feel like the conversation is mostly about music," he says. "But music is still something that's done only by people ? except for the Thai Elephant Orchestra." If it is much more difficult to hear the influence of more recent-vintage Magnetic Fields among other musicians, that may be a matter not only of time but of adaptability: The newer songs are not so much diminished in emotion as higher in specificity, with fewer gaps for the listener to project into psychologically. I ask him if it's possible to take the comedic aspect also far. "I believe it functions as long as one goes too far in multiple directions at as soon as," he says.
